As we age the fat pads in the cheeks shrink and slide downward. The face looks flatter, the nose-to-mouth lines deepen and the lower face can look heavier. Cheek filler replaces that lost volume, which lifts the midface and often softens the folds below it without touching them directly. It is a minimally invasive injection treatment with no surgery and little downtime.

If you have been reading about cheek implants, filler is the way to test the look first. It can give a similar lift and definition with no surgery, no general anesthetic and little recovery time. The trade-off is that filler is temporary, commonly 12 months or more in the cheeks. For many people that is a feature, not a drawback: your face keeps changing, and so can the treatment.

We assess the whole face first, based on anatomy, proportion and symmetry. Placement depth and technique are individualized according to your anatomy, treatment goals and the product being used. Depending on the area and treatment plan, we may use a needle, microcannula, or a combination of techniques. The amount is individualized too, and if your goal is a more sculpted look, we still build it in stages.
