Acne Scar Treatment

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to commonly asked questions by patients seeking treatment with Skin Rejuvenation.

  • Which treatment is right for me?
There is no single "best" skin rejuvenation treatment — the best option depends on your skin type, concerns, and goals. During your consultation, we evaluate issues such as fine lines, pigmentation, sun damage, texture, acne scarring, and skin laxity and then recommend a personalized plan.

We offer multiple technologies and techniques, allowing us to choose what is most appropriate and effective for your skin — not a one-size-fits-all package.
  • Which treatment is best for acne scars?
For many people, microneedling or RF microneedling. The right one depends on scar depth and skin laxity, which we assess in person.
  • Who is a good candidate?
Adults seeking overall skin quality improvement or support after collagen-stimulating procedures. Not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infections, or with skin cancers in the treatment area. Our physician confirms suitability at your consultation.
  • Does it hurt?
Numbing cream is applied first. Most patients feel warmth and pressure rather than pain. The neck and jawline can be more sensitive than the cheeks.
  • Is skin rejuvenation safe for my skin type?
Yes — when properly selected and performed, skin rejuvenation is safe for most skin types. Your safety is always our first priority.

    Before treatment, we assess:

    • skin tone and sensitivity

    • history of scarring or pigmentation

    • current skincare products (like retinoids)

    • medical conditions or medications

We then design a plan that is both safe and effective for your unique skin.
  • How long do results last?
Results can be long-lasting, although normal skin aging continues. Many patients maintain their result with one or two sessions a year; your physician will suggest a schedule that suits you.

Acne is not just a teenage problem, and acne scars can often be made much less noticeable.

Whether you are dealing with breakouts now, with the marks and pits they left behind, or both, in-clinic treatments go well beyond creams and over-the-counter products. At Valoura Med Spa a physician assesses your skin first, so you are treated for what is actually there rather than sold a standard package.
