Dermal fillers restore volume where the face has lost it, smooth deeper folds and refine features such as the cheeks, chin and jawline. They are minimally invasive – a few small injections, no surgery – and results are visible straight away. Done well, no one can tell you have had filler. They just notice you look well.

At Valoura Med Spa fillers are placed under direct physician supervision at our clinic in Savoy, a few minutes from Champaign and Urbana.

OUR APPROACH: PROPORTION FIRST

We never overfill.

Instead of treating one line at a time, we assess the whole face based on anatomy, proportion and symmetry. Sometimes a small amount in the cheeks does more for the nose-to-mouth lines than filling the lines themselves. The aim is a refreshed version of your own face, not a different face.

We use hyaluronic acid (HA) and/or collagen-stimulating fillers, depending on the area and your goals. HA is a substance the body already makes, and HA fillers can generally be dissolved if necessary. If you would like a particular filler brand, let us know – when clinically appropriate, we can obtain it specifically for your treatment.

Placement depth and technique are individualized according to your anatomy, treatment goals and the product being used. Depending on the area and treatment plan, we may use a needle, microcannula, or a combination of techniques.

FILLER, BOTOX OR PRP/PRF?

RESULTS TIMELINE

Typical Results Timeline

Every patient is different. These are typical ranges, not a promise, and your physician will set your plan.

• ✓ Results: visible straight away for most patients
• ✓ Swelling and possible bruising: usually a few days
• ✓ Final result: typically settles by about two weeks
• ✓ How long it lasts: commonly 6–18 months depending on the area and product – lips at the shorter end, cheeks and chin at the longer end
• ✓ Follow-up: a check at about two weeks

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Consultation: we assess your face, discuss what you want to change and check your medical history. You get a written plan and cost before treatment.
2. Treatment: numbing cream first. Most filler treatments take 30–45 minutes. Depending on the area, we use a needle, microcannula or a combination of techniques.
3. Results: immediate, with some swelling for a few days.
4. Follow-up: we see you at about two weeks to check the result and make any small adjustment that is clinically indicated.

SAFETY AND WHO SHOULD WAIT

Dermal fillers are generally well tolerated when appropriately selected and administered by trained medical professionals with a detailed understanding of facial anatomy.

Common side effects are swelling, bruising and tenderness for a few days. Rare but serious complications can occur, which is why physician oversight and anatomy knowledge matter.
