Exosome Skin Regeneration

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to commonly asked questions by patients seeking treatment with Skin Rejuvenation.

  • What does RF microneedling do?
It combines ultrafine needles with radiofrequency heat. The needles trigger your skin's repair response and the heat encourages existing collagen to contract and new collagen to form. Over the following months, skin typically becomes firmer, smoother and more even.
  • How much downtime will I have?
Downtime depends on the treatment chosen. Some rejuvenation treatments have no downtime at all, while deeper corrective options may involve a few days of redness or flaking.

We review expected healing time before treatment so you can plan around work, events, and travel. Our goal is to match your results goals with your lifestyle and schedule.
  • Is it an injection?
No. The exosome serum is applied to the skin immediately after microneedling, as part of the same visit.
  • Is a peel safe for darker skin?
Peels can be used across a broad range of skin types, but the choice of peel and the preparation matter more for deeper skin tones. That is decided at your assessment – this is exactly where physician supervision matters.
  • What results can I expect?
    Patients commonly report:

    • improved hydration and glow

    • smoother texture

    • reduced appearance of redness

    • healthier-looking skin tone

When combined with procedures such as microneedling or laser, exosomes may enhance post-treatment recovery and support visible skin-quality improvement over the following weeks.

As with any regenerative treatment, results vary from person to person.
  • Do you treat back or chest acne?
Yes, peels and microneedling can be used on the body.

Exosome Skin Regeneration

Advanced Skin Renewal • Topical • Physician-Led

Applied after microneedling, exosomes may support the skin's natural repair and recovery.

Exosomes are regenerative particles that carry proteins, growth factors and cellular messengers. A purified exosome serum is applied after microneedling or RF microneedling, as part of an individualized treatment plan, to help support repair, calm redness and improve texture.

At Valoura Med Spa, exosome treatments are physician-led and performed at our clinic in Savoy, minutes from Champaign and Urbana. This page covers skin only – hair and joint uses are on our Exosome Therapy page.

PLANT-DERIVED AND HUMAN-DERIVED OPTIONS

Chosen with you, after your consultation.

Valoura offers both plant-derived and human-derived exosome options. The choice depends on your physician's evaluation, your treatment plan and your preference after consultation. Both are applied to the skin as a topical serum during the same visit as your microneedling.

EXOSOMES VS. PRF OR PRP

Feature Exosomes PRF or PRP
Source Plant-derived or human-derived, chosen with your physician Your own blood
Blood draw No Yes
Visit time About 45–60 min About 60–75 min
Best for Calmer recovery, redness, texture Skin quality, thin skin, scars

Some patients prefer a treatment made from their own blood (PRF or PRP); others prefer no blood draw (exosomes). Your physician can advise which suits your plan.

A NOTE ON EVIDENCE

Exosome skin treatment is a newer option in aesthetic medicine. Early studies report improvements in redness, texture and recovery after procedures, and research is ongoing. At Valoura it is always paired with an established treatment, microneedling, and your physician will explain what results are realistic for your skin. Results vary from person to person.
