Here are answers to commonly asked questions by patients seeking treatment with Regenerative Medicine.
What can PRF be used for?
At Valoura we use PRF and PRP for the face, the under-eye area, thinning hair, selected joint pain and sexual wellness. Each has its own page with details.
Are exosomes stem cells?
No. Exosomes are released by cells but contain no cells themselves. They cannot grow or multiply.
What kinds of results can I expect?
Most patients notice gradual improvement in skin quality, texture, hair fullness, or sexual function over several weeks as the body responds to treatment. Results vary based on the treatment type, area treated, and your overall health.
Regenerative medicine is designed to support and enhance your body's own repair processes, not as an instant or "overnight" solution.
PRP/PRF or a cortisone injection?
They work differently. Cortisone is a steroid that reduces inflammation; PRP and PRF are prepared from your own blood. Neither is better for everyone – which is more suitable depends on your condition, history and goals, and your physician explains the options.
What are exosomes?
Tiny particles that cells release to send signals to each other. They carry proteins and growth factors that can influence how nearby cells behave.
What is regenerative medicine, and how does it work?
Regenerative medicine focuses on supporting the body's natural ability to repair and restore itself. Treatments may use components such as growth-factor–rich serums, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), or exosome products to signal cells involved in healing and tissue repair.
In aesthetics and wellness, these therapies are used to support skin quality, hair health, sexual wellness, and recovery after procedures. Your consultation determines which option best fits your goals.
