Here are answers to commonly asked questions by patients seeking treatment with Regenerative Medicine.
What can PRF be used for?
At Valoura we use PRF and PRP for the face, the under-eye area, thinning hair, selected joint pain and sexual wellness. Each has its own page with details.
What is the difference between PRF and PRP?
Both PRF and PRP are prepared from a patient's own blood and concentrate components involved in tissue repair and signaling. Differences in preparation affect their cellular composition, fibrin structure and handling characteristics. At Valoura, we use both PRP and PRF and select the approach based on the treatment area, procedure and individual patient.
What are exosomes?
Tiny particles that cells release to send signals to each other. They carry proteins and growth factors that can influence how nearby cells behave.
Do I need an X-ray or MRI?
Sometimes. Your physician reviews any existing imaging and may order additional imaging when clinically indicated. Please bring any imaging you already have.
Are exosomes stem cells?
No. Exosomes are released by cells but contain no cells themselves. They cannot grow or multiply.
Who is a good candidate for regenerative medicine?
Good candidates are adults seeking non-surgical options to support healing, skin quality, hair restoration, or intimate wellness.
You may be a candidate if you are in generally good health and want to:
• improve skin tone/texture
• support hair growth
• enhance sexual wellness
• boost post-procedure recovery
A consultation determines the safest and most effective approach for your specific goals.
