Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to commonly asked questions by patients seeking treatment with Regenerative Medicine.

  • Is regenerative therapy safe?
Safety is our highest priority. We use products from reputable manufacturers and perform treatments under medical supervision.

We review your medical history, medications, and specific concerns to ensure regenerative therapies are appropriate and safe for you. Some conditions — such as pregnancy, active infections, bleeding disorders, or certain cancers — may mean treatment is not recommended.
  • What is the difference between PRF and PRP?
Both PRF and PRP are prepared from a patient's own blood and concentrate components involved in tissue repair and signaling. Differences in preparation affect their cellular composition, fibrin structure and handling characteristics. At Valoura, we use both PRP and PRF and select the approach based on the treatment area, procedure and individual patient.
  • Does PRF work for hair loss?
It is best studied for common pattern hair thinning in men and women. Many patients see less shedding and thicker-looking hair, but not everyone responds, and it cannot regrow hair where the follicles are gone.
  • What kinds of results can I expect?
Most patients notice gradual improvement in skin quality, texture, hair fullness, or sexual function over several weeks as the body responds to treatment. Results vary based on the treatment type, area treated, and your overall health.

Regenerative medicine is designed to support and enhance your body's own repair processes, not as an instant or "overnight" solution.
  • Are exosomes stem cells?
No. Exosomes are released by cells but contain no cells themselves. They cannot grow or multiply.
  • What can PRF be used for?
At Valoura we use PRF and PRP for the face, the under-eye area, thinning hair, selected joint pain and sexual wellness. Each has its own page with details.
