Here are answers to commonly asked questions by patients seeking treatment with Skin Rejuvenation.
Is it an injection?
No. The exosome serum is applied to the skin immediately after microneedling, as part of the same visit.
How much downtime should I expect after RF microneedling?
Most patients experience redness and mild swelling for 1–3 days. Small needle marks may also be visible temporarily. We generally recommend avoiding makeup for the first 24 hours and following the post-treatment skincare instructions provided by our physician.
Do I treat acne or scars first?
Active, inflamed acne is controlled first. Scar treatments are then planned once the skin is calm.
Are exosomes stem cells?
No. Exosomes are particles released by cells. They contain no cells and cannot grow or multiply. The serums we use are cell-free.
How is RF microneedling different from regular microneedling?
Traditional microneedling uses controlled microinjury to stimulate collagen production. RF microneedling adds radiofrequency energy beneath the skin, allowing treatment of deeper tissue. This makes it particularly useful for concerns such as skin laxity, deeper wrinkles, acne scars, and texture.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients do a series of 3–4 sessions, spaced about 4–6 weeks apart. Deeper scarring or more laxity may need more. Our physician sets the number after assessing your skin.
